Italy's dynamic Backgammon arena is The Chamber.  Located in Milan, where money flows and fashion reigns. The archtecture is as dynamic as the clothing that the gamblers model.

​

High rollers are in vogue... but only if they are winning and looking good doing it. Fashion never takes a day off in Milan.

Cyclops Center

Athens, Greece

​

Athens, Greece,  the birthplace of the Olympics is home to the first modern-day Backgammon arena. 

 

The Backgammon Gods are pleased with the Cyclops Center. 

And why not, it was the Cyclopes (three brothers: Brontes, Steropes, and Arges, sons of Uranus and Gaia), who made for Zeus his weapon, the thunderbolt.

​

Lightening is sure to strike under the dome. We're keeping one eye on the action here!

Stade le Pourpoint Marseille, France

Doublet Stadium.  Groundbreaking architecture in the heart of Marseille, France.

​

This outdoor beauty is a marvel.  You'll see all the Backgammon superheroes here... and an occasional soccer game or rock concert.

​

Spectators do the backgammon wave, which is cool to watch (video soon) and fireworks paint the sky each night.

TricTrac Tower

Paris, France

A Modern Backgammon facility in Paris.  Also home to the backgammon art museum.

 

Trictrac, a form of backgammon was invented in France about 1500, but fans have nicknamed the complex, "Towerville"

Gammon on the Green Reykjavik, Iceland​

 

Reykjavik, Iceland is is known as the greenest city in the world. Iceland's contribution to the game is the Gammon on the Green. The GOG!

And visitors are all-a-GOG about the rooftop botanical garden, the indoor arena, and visitors center.

The Silberhelm (Silver Helmet) is Munich's stunning Backgammon arena.   Munich is the capital of Bavaria and  gateway to the Alps. 

 

The Silberhelm features the country's finest biergarten, würfel (dice) shop and backgammon tournements.

Stockholm, Sweden

 

Located in Stockholm, Sweden's capital city, Sweden's dynamic Backgammon Center combines avant-garde art, chic shopping, and innovative dining.

 

With regal palaces and gabled buildings a stone's throw away, the Spel Bräd (Game Board) is the perfect venue to roll for sixes or roar for your favorite backgammon stars.

Castelul de Table Zei

Brasov, Transylvania, Romania​

 

The city of Brasov sits at the center of Romania.  Here in the Transylvanian Alps lies the Bran Castle (Dracula's Castle) and Castelul de Table Zei (Castle of the Backgammon Gods). 

 

Beneath the castle is the Catacombs of Dice Players (Catacombe de jucători zaruri) where tombs of players and ancient treasure are guarded. The perfect venue for "Blood Thirsty competitors.

Szolnok, Hungary

Nestled along the River Tisza, this architectural classic is a Hungarian masterpiece.  Home of the Backgammon European Championships and Backgammon University, the Palace draws math geeks and gamblers alike. 

​

If you visit, there is an excellent 'probability' that you'll learn something new.  If you're lucky!  Wait! What?

Barcelona, Spain

On the Hills on Barcelona, home of the 1992 Olympic games  (where Spain won 4 Gold medals in Sailing), sits the "Sails of Backgammon".

The iconic hilltop sculpture marks Spain's International Backgammon arena. A venue that was carved into the mountain.

​

Located on the northeast coast of the Iberian Peninsula, facing the Mediterranean Sea, this tribute to the world's most prestigious game graces the skies.

The Crown

London, England

Six jeweled levels on "The Crown", London's glass menagerie of backgammon.  Fit for a Queen, the royal suite provides the royal family with the best seats in the house.

​

But there is plenty of room for all the King's horses and all the King's men, as they watch to see which poor soul has a great fall.

Gibraltar, British Territory

Gibraltar surrounded by the Mediterranian Sea is located at the southern tip of the Iberian Peninsula, and borders Spain.  Famous for The Rock Gibraltar, Barbary macaques, and Backgammon.  The Macaque Dome (nicknamed 'The Ape') sits at Europa Point, beckoning the most evolved players on earth.

Norway's capital city provides a glorious  fusion of contemporary and medieval styles.

 

Nordlys Stadion is the stunning new backgammon complex with a 18 point dome that opens and seals depending on the changes in climate.

Türk Kahve Evi

(Turkish House of Coffee) Istanbal, Turkey

​

The Turks create some of the world's best coffee and are known for playful banter and coffee-housing around the backgammon tables.

 

The Türk Kahve Evi is Istanbul's palace of backgammon.  Coffee is served as hot as the dice.  It's loud. It's exciting.  It's a caffeine frenzy with lira flying like the checkers around the boards.

In the back rooms, the fortune-tellers use the art of tasseography (reading coffee grounds) to peek into your future.
