Philip Shutter known by all his friends as Pip was the photographer for the Grateful Dead, before joining BNN. Jerry would tease him by greeting him with a line from a song, "Wake up to find out that you are the eyes of the world, Pip"

Pip's photograph capturing the face of Risky Ringo Rhodes when he landed the Box Cars with 4 men on the 6 point to win the Silver Cup in Barcelona, won him a Pulitzer Prize.

Pip's natural talent for capturing backgammon moments is unmatched.
