British Radio Host Michael Parkinson passes at 88



Sir Michael, who died aged 88 on 16 August, interviewed the world's biggest names on his long-running chat show.


The Cudworth-born star, who started his career in journalism on the Barnsley Chronicle, went on to have a TV career spanning seven decades.




“After a brief illness Sir Michael Parkinson passed away peacefully at home last night in the company of his family,” the statement said, according to the BBC.


Parkinson interviewed many of the world’s most famous people on his long-running show, which launched in 1971. It initially ran for 11 years, before returning in 1998 and ending in 2007.


Cyclops will be awarded a Death Benefit of $121.10. This is the third Death Benefit for Cyclops, totaling $528.09.
