ABOUT
Dead Pool 420
Honoring the lives of those we've lost

And although we may predict those who may pass before others, we never wish the loss of any life. Like buying life insurance, our players reap Death Benefits when the souls of famous people depart this earthly plane.
May they rest in peace.
The Dead Pool 420
The Basics
Each new player contributes $35 to become a "Reaper." Reapers have the opportunity to Cash In...when someone Cashes Out.
That someone would be a famous person that the Reaper has projected to pass away in the future. The selected person is referred to as a "Mark."

If one of the Reaper's Marks leaves this world, the Reaper receives 25% of the cash funds in the "Active Pool." This is called a "Death Benefit."

The more money in the Active Pool, the greater the Death Benefit.

Once a Mark passes away, all other players contribute an additional $10 into the Active Pool, and the next round begins. This fee is known as a "Tribute." The Tribute honors the person who has passed and allows Reapers to keep their Marks into the next round.

There is no start or end date. Reapers play in the pool for as long as they continue to keep funds in their Player Accounts to cover the Tribute, each time a Mark passes.
Players may elect to drop out at any time, relinquish their Marks, and bid farewell to monies sitting in the Active Pool.

All funds collected throughout the game go directly into the Active Pool, less ten percent for administrative expenses.

All funds in the Active Pool will be awarded to our Reapers!

Dead Pool 420 is a Web-based application that you can access on your computer or mobile device.
All players will have access to the "The Reaper GRID". The GRID shows all of the active Reaper Nicknames, their selected Marks (and ages), and the amount of money in the Active Pool. Reapers also have a "Dashboard" where they can review account balances and manage their Marks.

Dead Pool 420 is easy to play and is as transparent as a ghost!

The Reaper GRID

Each Reaper is provided with 420 years to distribute among all of his/her selected Marks. However, Reapers must maintain a minimum of six Marks at all times.

For example, if you select six Marks for your "Portfolio", they would average 70 years of age each. Some could be older and some younger, depending on your strategy.
There is no limit to the number of Marks a Reaper has in his/her portfolio, as long as the total ages of the selected Marks do not exceed 420 years. That is called the "Age Cap".

Additionally, no Mark may be under the age of 25 or over the age of 97. Once a Mark hits his/her 97th birthday, they gain the status of "Immortal".

Duplicate Marks are not allowed. Marks are claimed on a first-come, first-served basis.
Reapers may protect Marks for as long as they remain active in the game. They may also swap Marks in their portfolios as outlined in the RULES.
